چکیده

Thermal variations in surface and atmosphere observed from multiple satellites prior to strong earthquakes have been widely reported ever since seismic thermal anomalies were discovered three decades ago. These changes are related stress accumulation caused by the tectonic activities final stage of earthquake preparation. In present paper, we focused on associated with 2021 Madoi M 7.3 China analyzed temporal spatial evolution Index Microwave Radiation Anomaly (IMRA) Longwave (ILRA) based 8-year microwave brightness temperature (MWBT) 14-year outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) data collected satellites. We also explored their responses different units (seismogenic fault zone active block). Our results indicated that enhanced IMRA was distributed along seismogenic mid-February reappeared for a longer time stronger intensity March April 2021. The pronounced enhancement ILRA within one month over Bayan Har adjacent blocks. higher blocks southern Tibet Plateau at beginning could be regional accumulation, as proven occurrences two moderate during this period.

Accumulation rate changes in central Greenland from passive microwave data

Numerical modeling based on radiative transfer theory and observations of grain growth with depth have indicated that passive microwave brightness temperatures over the polar ice sheets should be a function of accumulation rate. Using accumulationrate time series from nine shallow cores in the dry-snow facies in central Greenland, we find that multi-year averages of mean annual SMMR brightness ...

Ice cover variability in the Caspian and Aral seas from active and passive microwave satellite data

Kouraev et al. 2003: Polar Research 22(1), 43–50 A stable and strong ice cover forms during winter months in the Aral Sea and northern part of the Caspian Sea. The presence of ice cover negatively affects navigation and fi shery condi tions and endangers facilities located on the coast as well as on the shelf, such as oil rigs that have recently been installed in the northern Caspian by Russia ...

Cloud Parameters from Infrared and Microwave Satellite Measurements

Due to the crucial role of clouds, the knowledge of the horizontal and vertical distribution and the optical properties of globally distributed clouds is of fundamental importance to the understanding of the Earth radiation and heat balance, and of weather and climate of the atmosphere. Measurements of radiation from space play a fundamental role in helping us to understand how radiation depend...

Thermal and Non - Thermal Infrared Emission from M 87

We discuss images of M87 from 3.6 to 160 μm obtained with Spitzer. As found previously, there is an excess in the far infrared over a simple power law interpolation from the radio to the resolved nonthermal features in the mid-infrared and optical. We show that this excess is most likely warm dust in the galaxy itself, and that the properties of this emission component are similar to the far in...

Passive Microwave Remote Sensing of Rain from Satellite Sensors

The purpose of this chapter is to offer an accurate treatment of relevant aspects of satellite remote sensing of precipitation using passive microwave (PMW) radiometers. Microwave observations of the Earth’s system differ substantially from those based on optical and infrared wavelengths. Visible (VIS) and infrared (IR) instruments essentially sense the cloud top properties by measuring reflect...
